Wingman Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Adept Apps LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Adept Apps", "we", "us") collects in connection with the Wingman managed package for Salesforce (the "Software"), the Wingman AppExchange listing, and our support channel, and how we use it. It applies to the organizations that install the Software ("Customers") and the individuals whose information we receive.

The short version: the Software itself sends us nothing. When a Customer installs it, Salesforce tells us who installed it and where. If you contact us for support, we keep that correspondence. That is the extent of it.

1. The Software does not send us data

The Software runs entirely inside the Customer's own Salesforce organization ("Org"). It holds, in the Org's Platform Cache only, a short-lived record of which users currently have a given Salesforce record open: the record identifier and, for each visible user, their Salesforce user identifier, display name, last check-in time and refresh interval. These entries expire automatically within minutes.

The Software makes no calls to any service outside Salesforce and transmits nothing to Adept Apps. We have no access to any Customer's Org, records, users or activity through the Software. We do not see who views what. The Customer is the controller of all data in its Org, and Adept Apps does not act as a processor or service provider of that data in respect of the Software's operation.

2. Hidden viewing

The Software includes an optional feature that lets users designated by the Customer's administrator see who else is viewing a record without being shown themselves. This feature operates entirely within the Customer's Org and involves no data flow to Adept Apps. Whether and how a Customer uses it, and any notice given to the Customer's users, is the Customer's responsibility under the Terms of Use and applicable law. Questions about a particular organization's use of the feature should be directed to that organization.

3. Information we receive when the Software is installed

The Software is distributed through the Salesforce AppExchange and registered with Salesforce's License Management Application. When a Customer installs the Software, Salesforce provides Adept Apps with installation information, which includes:

• the installing Org's identifier, Salesforce edition, instance, type (for example production or sandbox) and status;
• the Software version installed, the installation date, and the license status; and
• the name, email address and company name of the user who performed the installation.

We receive this information from Salesforce, not from the Software. We use it to:

• keep a record of which Orgs have the Software installed, so that we can notify Customers of updates, security fixes or discontinuation;
• provide support when a Customer contacts us;
• understand how many organizations use the Software; and
• comply with our obligations to Salesforce as an AppExchange partner.

We do not use installation contact details for marketing unless the individual has separately agreed to receive marketing from us.

4. Information you give us directly

If you contact us for support, feedback or any other reason, we keep the correspondence, including your name, email address, organization and the content of your message, together with any diagnostic information you choose to send (for example screenshots or your Salesforce edition and package version). We use it to respond to you, to fix problems in the Software, and to keep a record of support history.

5. Our website and the AppExchange listing

The Wingman AppExchange listing is hosted by Salesforce. Your interactions with the AppExchange, including viewing the listing, reviews, and the installation process, are governed by Salesforce's own privacy policy, not this one.

Our website at https://adeptapps.net uses no cookies and no analytics, and it has no forms that collect information. Like most websites, the hosting service keeps standard server logs of requests (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use those logs to identify individual visitors.

6. Legal basis for processing (where applicable)

Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or a similar law applies, we process the information described above on the following bases: performance of our agreement with the Customer (the Terms of Use) and our legitimate interests in operating, supporting and improving the Software, notifying Customers of updates and security issues, and meeting our obligations as a Salesforce partner. Where we rely on consent (for example for marketing), you may withdraw it at any time.

7. Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell personal information and do not share it with third parties except:

• with Salesforce, in connection with the AppExchange and the License Management Application, under Salesforce's terms;
• with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract (for example our email provider); and
• where required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights.

Adept Apps is located in the United States (Michigan). Information we receive may be stored and processed there.

8. Retention

We keep installation information for as long as the Software remains installed in the Customer's Org and for 12 months afterwards, so that we can respond to questions about past installations, unless a longer period is required by law. We keep support correspondence for 12 months after the last message. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. Installation information is held in Adept Apps' Salesforce Org, which is protected by Salesforce's security controls and by access restricted to authorized Adept Apps personnel.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@adeptapps.net. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If your request concerns data held in a Customer's Org (for example presence information about you), please contact that organization, because we do not hold that data.

11. Children

The Software and our services are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is published at https://adeptapps.net/wingman/privacy with its effective date. Material changes will be indicated by a new effective date and, where practicable, notice through the AppExchange listing.
